Studyweb.com is thrilled to reveal that it is offering the chance to participate in their 2015 scholarship program, which will provide the opportunity for one talented college student to receive a first prize reward of $500.

The prize will be awarded to the student who is considered to have written the most engaging, thought-provoking and original essay based on the topic revealed below in our competition details.

To be eligible for entry to the competition and qualify for the award of $500, you must already be at least 18 years of age and currently attending a college or university, or confirmed to be attending in the fall of 2015.

Studyweb.com is looking for essays with a minimum word-count of at least 1200 words and the title of paper that you are being asked to submit is:

This is a title that has the potential to provoke lively debate and we are looking for students to provide an essay that not only confirms their talent for creative writing but also provides the judges and anyone reading their article, with an insight into how you interpret the question posed in the title.

Finding the winner

Our judges will choose a winner from all the qualifying entries submitted and announce who has earned a first prize scholarship reward of $500, on July 31st 2015.

The scholarship fee will be credited directly to your college or university shortly afterwards.

Please note that Studyweb.com will not contact individual applicants regarding their entry unless they are the chosen scholarship recipient.

Entry requirements

There are a few other entry requirements in addition to the requirement that you must already be at least a US resident, 18 years of age and currently attending a US college or university, or confirmed to be attending in the fall of 2015.

Potential winners of the competition will also be required on request to supply a copy of their United States Driver’s License or suitable official proof of their age.

The winner will be asked to sign a publicity/liability release form and must also be prepared to provide a headshot photograph in a high-resolution format such as a JPEG or TIFF file.

Entries must be submitted by the 31st July 2015 in order to be considered and by submitting your article, you are agreeing to the terms of the competition and also confirming your agreement that Studyweb.com can showcase your work as you will have surrendered or transferred all copyright for the article.

Judging policy

The panel of judges appointed by Studyweb.com will be reviewing each submission and basing their scoring on aspects such as originality, creativity, specificity and also grammatical competence.

Our aim is to find a suitable way of rewarding students who are looking to earn an extra amount of money towards their education by way of an award of $500 to the person deemed to have submitted the best overall entry.
