Attribute of
<spacer> HTML Tag

Do not use. The <spacer> element is obsolete in HTML 5.

TYPE sets the type of spacer to use. TYPE is a required attribute. TYPE itself requires one of three values, so we’ll go straight to the value explanations.

HORIZONTAL inserts an inline empty space into the text. When you use HORIZONTAL you must also use the SIZE attribute, not WIDTH.

VERTICAL inserts vertical space between lines of text. VERTICAL makes the space look like a really big paragraph break. When you use VERTICAL, you must also use the SIZE attribute, not HEIGHT.

BLOCK is a combination of VERTICAL and VERTICAL. When you use BLOCK, you must also use WIDTH and HEIGHT.
